FIA Busts Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Network at Karachi Airport

Islamabad — The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration conducted a major operation at Karachi Airport, uncovering a network involved in human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the Karachi Immigration team stopped three passengers, including two women bound for the United Arab Emirates, identified as Samira, Nosheen Ishaq, and Jamshed Iqbal. Following their questioning, facilitators Mohammad Asim and Noman were also arrested.

Authorities said that female passenger Samira was being recruited under the guise of a visit visa to work at massage centers linked to sexual exploitation. She was recruited through Facebook and WhatsApp by accused Shamila, who promised a monthly salary of PKR 150,000. Samira’s travel to the UAE was facilitated by Shamila’s accomplices, Nosheen Ashfaq and her husband Jamshed Iqbal, who have previously assisted multiple women in being trafficked abroad.

During the raid at a flat in Karachi’s Azam Town, law enforcement recovered evidence including mobile phones, WhatsApp chats, photographs, and financial transaction records.

The FIA stated that the arrested facilitators, Mohammad Asim and Noman, provided assistance with travel arrangements and transportation for the victims. The suspects have been handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further investigation.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the FIA to dismantle human trafficking networks and protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
