Pakistan May Boycott Match Against India in T20 World Cup

Lahore: Following Bangladesh’s exclusion from the ICC T20 World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has begun considering various protest options, including the possibility of boycotting its match against India.
According to sources, Pakistan may refuse to play the match against India scheduled for February 15 in Colombo. Sources added that by not playing the match, Pakistan would only lose two points in the tournament standings.
Sources said the PCB has the option of not playing the match against India, and such a move could result in significant financial losses for the ICC. Even if Pakistan decides to participate in the World Cup, the board is expected to keep all options open.
It is worth noting that Bangladesh had refused to travel to India for the T20 World Cup citing security concerns and requested the ICC to shift all its matches to Sri Lanka. The ICC rejected Bangladesh’s request and instead included Scotland in the group.
