Historic Change in Balochistan’s Government Hiring: Online Test Introduced, Appointments Issued Within an Hour

Islamabad: In a landmark move for public sector recruitment, Balochistan has introduced online testing for government job vacancies for the first time in the province’s history. Successful candidates received their appointment letters within just one hour, marking a significant step toward transparency and merit-based hiring.
The recruitment drive was launched for 111 vacant positions in the Finance Department, where candidates were required to pass an online test without any bureaucratic procedures or recommendations. This initiative completely eliminated illegal shortcuts and ensured that every appointment was based solely on merit, saving time and restoring public confidence in the process.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sardar Sarfraz Bugti, said the provincial government has implemented a transparent and paperless recruitment system, starting with the Finance Department as a pilot project. He added that the same system will be expanded to other departments in future phases.
The online test results were processed immediately, and appointment letters were issued within an hour, streamlining the hiring process and reinforcing accountability. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government will not tolerate corruption, favoritism, or the buying and selling of jobs.
This historic step is expected to serve as a model for other departments in Balochistan, ensuring merit, fairness, and efficiency in government recruitment.
