No Justification for Terrorism: Religious Scholars and Pakistan Army United Against Fitna-al-Khawarij, Says DG ISPR

Rawalpindi: A delegation of the National Peace and Harmony Council (NPAC) met with Director General ISPR at GHQ, reaffirming unwavering solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces and a joint resolve to counter anti-state narratives.

The meeting, held on January 13, 2026, featured an in-depth discussion on internal security in the context of Fitna-al-Khawarij, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA). Participants pledged full cooperation in promoting a strong national narrative and unanimously condemned Fitna-al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban, clearly stating that there is no justification for terrorism.

The DG ISPR emphasized that unity of thought and consensus on national security narratives are the need of the hour. He said that public awareness and a truth-based narrative are decisive tools to counter the enemy’s psychological warfare.

During the meeting, participants also reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir and Gaza, describing support for oppressed people as Pakistan’s moral responsibility.

Representatives of the NPAC announced plans to promote messages of Muslim unity, social harmony, and constitutional equality nationwide from mosques and religious platforms. A zero-tolerance policy against hate speech, sectarianism, and extremist ideologies was agreed upon. The delegation also proposed increasing awareness and guidance sessions in mosques, madrasas, and universities to strengthen the state narrative.

Terming the meeting highly productive, the DG ISPR expressed optimism about progress toward new avenues of trust and practical cooperation in the future.
