**Quetta:** Deputy Commissioner Quetta, **Mehrullah Badini**, has ordered strict action against naan bakeries involved in overpricing bread and reducing its prescribed weight, warning of shop closures and legal cases against violators.
The directive was issued during a high-level meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner to review enforcement measures against violations of officially notified bread prices and weights. The meeting was attended by all assistant commissioners, the additional deputy commissioner (Revenue), and the additional deputy commissioner (General).

All assistant commissioners were instructed to ensure strict daily inspections in their respective areas and to guarantee the availability of bread to the public strictly in accordance with the notified price and weight.
Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini stressed that economic exploitation of the public would not be accepted and that a zero-tolerance policy would be adopted against violators. He further directed that monitoring mechanisms be strengthened to safeguard public interest and that operations against price and weight violations continue without interruption.
