Case Against Civil Judge’s Wife, Father-in-Law, and Brother-in-Law for Forging High Court Letter Dismissed

Lahore: A case filed against the wife, father-in-law, and brother-in-law of a civil judge for allegedly forging a letter in the name of the Lahore High Court has been dismissed.
Justice Tariq Mahmood Bajwa presided over the hearing and disposed of the bail petition filed by the accused. The court ruled that, based on the police report, the case was baseless and the investigation did not establish that a forged letter had been created.
The accused — Anam (wife), Ilyas (father-in-law), and Haseeb (brother-in-law) — had approached the court for bail. Their lawyer, Waqar A. Sheikh, argued that the civil judge of Tandlianwala, Ali Raza, had fabricated a permission letter to conduct a second marriage. Subsequently, the wife filed the case against the judge.
The lawyer further claimed that the civil judge colluded with the local bar to produce a fake letter in the name of the High Court and falsely attributed it to his first wife, father-in-law, and brother-in-law to lodge the case.
The court accepted the arguments and granted bail, dismissing the allegations as unsubstantiated.
