Cold Winds Intensify Chill in Karachi, No Rain Expected: Met Office

Karachi: The weather in Karachi has turned colder due to icy northwesterly winds blowing from Balochistan, with wind speeds recorded at up to 15 kilometers per hour.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), these winds are linked to the influence of a western weather system affecting areas north of Karachi. Light fog was reported in the city, reducing visibility to around 2.5 kilometers.
The Met Office said Karachi’s temperature may rise slightly over the next three days; however, from Sunday onward, the weather is expected to become cooler and colder again.
Forecasts indicate that cloud cover may develop over Karachi between December 20 and 21, but there is no likelihood of rainfall during this period.
Chief Meteorologist Karachi Ameer Haider Laghari said that temperatures in Sukkur were recorded 4.5 degrees Celsius below normal, while Mohenjo Daro experienced temperatures 3.5 degrees Celsius below average, reflecting the overall cold conditions across the region.
