Lahore Remains Among World’s Most Polluted Cities as Air Quality Worsens Across Punjab

Air quality in Lahore and several other districts of Punjab continues to remain hazardous, posing serious health risks to residents.
Early Friday morning, Lahore recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of **439**, placing it second on the list of the world’s most polluted cities.
Other major cities in Punjab are also experiencing extremely poor air quality. In Gujranwala, particulate matter levels reached **808**, while Faisalabad recorded an AQI of **507**.
According to a global environmental monitoring website, India’s capital New Delhi topped the list of the world’s most polluted cities today with an AQI of **519**.
The alarming levels of smog and pollution have raised concerns among health experts, who warn of increased respiratory and cardiovascular risks if conditions persist.
