Faisal Vawda Says His ‘Aisi Ki Taisi’ Remark Was for PTI; Claims CM Sohail Afridi Will Not Meet Imran Khan Even Tomorrow

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Senior politician and Senator **Faisal Vawda** has clarified that his recent “**Aisi ki Taisi**” remark on social media was directed at the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)**, adding that **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will not meet Imran Khan tomorrow either**.
Speaking on a private TV program, Vawda launched a strong critique of PTI’s shifting political positions, saying the party once praised the military leadership but later turned against them. He claimed PTI had previously defended the military’s surveillance capabilities and even called former Army Chief General Bajwa the “king of democracy,” but later adopted a hostile stance.
Vawda alleged that Imran Khan had “taught lessons about the military while holding a rosary,” yet later became confrontational. He further claimed that the current Army Chief, General Asim Munir, had been removed from the post of DG ISI in the past for refusing to cover up alleged wrongdoing.
Referring to events leading to the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif and the May 9 violence, Vawda said PTI’s own actions and evidence contributed to its current troubles. He criticized PTI lawyers, saying their “clients are in jail while they enjoy power,” and argued that those who compromised within PTI are thriving while Imran Khan remains imprisoned.
He said PTI’s recent political conduct, including its criticism of the military leadership, will not be tolerated further. “If they use abusive language again, we will cut their tongue,” Vawda warned, adding that any attack on the army chief would receive a stern response.
Regarding meeting arrangements for Imran Khan, he said PTI’s political messaging through family visits has led to stricter protocols. He added that **CM Sohail Afridi’s meeting with Imran Khan will also not take place tomorrow**.
He warned that if the KP Chief Minister or PTI continued their alleged disruptive politics, **the federal government could impose Governor’s Rule** in the province. He said that under such circumstances, major development work and strong operations against May 9 fugitives would be carried out in KP.
Vawda accused PTI of double standards, recalling the party’s past opposition to U.S. officials while the KP chief minister recently held meetings with American representatives instead of visiting soldiers’ families in Miranshah.
He reiterated that **any political messaging disguised as legal or family meetings in jail would be stopped**, and only case-related discussions would be permitted.
In a separate post on X, Vawda said only lawful family interactions for “well-being checks” and legal visits for case discussions would be allowed. He warned that further attempts to malign the military or its leadership would not be tolerated, saying “those doing so will have their tongues turned into the sole of a shoe.”
Vawda concluded that PTI is now standing at a dangerous crossroads, and any attempt at “thuggery” by the KP Chief Minister will result in wiping out the party’s remaining political space through Governor’s Rule.
