Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah Says He Has No Role in Governor’s Change

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the Sindh Craft Festival and congratulated the Culture Department for organizing the event. Speaking at the occasion, he emphasized that neither he nor any other provincial leader has a role in the appointment or removal of the Governor of Sindh, and they are not consulted in such matters.

He highlighted that the three-day festival features stalls not only from Sindh but also from Punjab and other provinces, showcasing women’s embroidery and traditional crafts. Shah specifically praised the participation of a woman from the Mallaah community and assured that the Sindh government would support anyone interested in setting up shops at the festival.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of promoting Sindh’s cultural heritage and urged people to ignore discussions about the creation of new provinces, asserting that “no one except Allah has the power to divide Sindh.”

He also noted that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has rejected the reduction of powers under the 18th Amendment and the NFC Award and has opposed similar changes in the 27th Amendment, adding, “We know how to turn dreams into reality.”

Shah also commented on law and order, stating that groups of 50 to 150 people can hold city residents hostage, sometimes blocking roads, leaving the government to respond to such situations.
