Pashtunkhwa MAP Criticizes VIP Routes in Quetta, Calls Traffic Closures a Source of Public Distress
Party Urges Judiciary to Take Notice of Repeated Road Blockages; December 2 Rally to Strengthen Constitutional Movement
**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta)** — The **Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP)** has strongly criticized the **frequent traffic blockades on VIP routes in Quetta**, accusing authorities of causing unnecessary mental distress to citizens. The party has urged the **judiciary to take notice** of repeated road closures on **Zarghoon Road, Samungli Road, and Airport Road**, which have severely disrupted daily life in the provincial capital.
Speaking at the **Karani Regional Unit Conference** organized by PMAP’s Tehsil Sariab chapter, the party’s **Provincial Senior Vice President and Quetta District Secretary, Syed Sharaf Agha**, said that the upcoming **December 2 public rally** would give new strength to the ongoing **“Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan.”** He emphasized that under the leadership of **Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai**, the party is committed to defending constitutional supremacy and urged all workers to play an active role in this struggle.
Sharaf Agha directed party members to **intensify public outreach**, display party flags on their homes, and mobilize citizens to attend the rally, which marks the **52nd anniversary of the martyrdom of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai.**
Speakers at the conference expressed **deep concern over Quetta’s civic problems**, condemning the **frequent closure of major roads for VIP movement**, as well as the **harassment of youth and students at police and FC checkpoints.** They termed these actions **unconstitutional and unlawful**, asserting that such policies have made everyday life difficult for residents, including employees, schoolchildren, and patients.
PMAP leaders also denounced the current “**Form-47 government**,” accusing it of pursuing **anti-people policies** that have worsened **inflation, unemployment, and insecurity**, while depriving citizens of **basic necessities such as clean water, jobs, education, and healthcare.** They said development work exists only on paper, and corruption dominates every department.
The leaders concluded by calling on all PMAP workers in Quetta to **work tirelessly to make the December 2 public gathering a historic event** for the city and for the movement to uphold the Constitution.
