Ishaq Dar Hints Pakistan May Send Troops to Palestine, Welcomes Indonesia’s Offer

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister **Ishaq Dar** has said that Pakistan may consider sending troops to Palestine, following Indonesia’s offer to deploy **20,000 soldiers**.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Dar revealed that **Indonesia has proposed the deployment of its forces to Palestine** as part of an international peace plan. He expressed hope that Pakistan would also make a similar decision, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to the **complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestinian territories**.

He highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s active role during the **UN General Assembly session**, where he raised the issue of Gaza, condemned Israeli aggression, and held meetings with leaders of Australia, Kuwait, the U.S., and various Arab and Islamic countries.

Dar clarified that Pakistan had **amended parts of the 21-point U.S. document** on Gaza and stressed that any peace framework must incorporate those amendments.

The foreign minister further noted that **eight countries have declared there will be no compromise on the West Bank**, while Palestine itself welcomed the peace accord supported by these nations. However, he criticized those opposing the agreement, accusing them of **politicizing the humanitarian crisis**.

Dar reaffirmed that Pakistan’s stance remains consistent: “We are committed to peace, justice, and the protection of innocent lives in Palestine.”
