Sindh Government Closely Monitoring Unusual River Water Levels: Sharjeel Memon

Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said that river water levels remain unusual, but the Sindh government has already taken timely precautionary measures.
In a statement, Memon emphasized that the provincial government is keeping a round-the-clock watch on the flood situation, with all relevant departments on high alert. He said the district administration and relief agencies are working under a joint strategy, adding that nothing is more important for the Sindh government than the safety of people and their property.
According to him, 7,724 more people from riverine (katcha) areas have been shifted to safer locations in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of relocated individuals to 141,611.
He further informed that 159 fixed and mobile health camps set up by the government have provided medical facilities to 4,894 people in the last 24 hours, while a total of 50,040 people have received treatment so far.
On livestock safety, Memon said 8,577 animals were relocated in the past day, raising the total to 388,940 moved to safe places. Additionally, 36,881 animals were vaccinated and treated in the past 24 hours, with a total of 974,825 livestock vaccinated and treated to date.
