Mahmood Khan Achakzai Delivers Fiery Speech in National Assembly; State TV Broadcast Cut Off

Islamabad: Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, delivered a fiery and emotional speech in the National Assembly, during which state television and parliamentary media broadcasts were abruptly cut off.
He criticized the treatment of parliamentarians, saying, “In your presence, Mr. Speaker, members were dragged, and no action has been taken to this day.”
Achakzai declared, “It is our collective duty to protect the Constitution. Pakistan is not anyone’s personal estate.” He condemned the behavior of jail authorities, claiming that even colonels and jail superintendents do not allow parliamentarians to meet prisoners.
“Pieces of the Constitution have been shredded, and it’s painful to see the PPP sitting alongside the government,” he added. “Imran Khan is currently the most popular leader in Pakistan.”
He called for a new political beginning where decisions are made by the Parliament, not behind closed doors. “We must repent, forgive each other, and give every province its rightful share of resources,” he emphasized.
Achakzai also warned against the military operation in Bajaur, saying, “Such actions may lead to civil war, and the Shehbaz Sharif government will be responsible.”
He demanded that the House pass a resolution against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and take him to the International Court of Justice.
Despite the intensity of his address, his speech was blacked out by official media, raising questions about transparency and censorship in parliamentary proceedings.
