Seven Umrah Companies Suspended for Providing Unauthorized Accommodation

Islamabad: The Kingdom’s official news agency, Saudi Press Agency (SPA), reported on Saturday that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended seven Umrah companies for violating regulatory controls. Among the violations was the provision of accommodation to pilgrims in unauthorized and unlicensed housing facilities.
According to the SPA report, these violations were identified as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to monitor and enhance the quality of services provided to “the Guests of Allah.”
“The Ministry clarified that these are serious violations that compromise the safety and comfort of the pilgrims,” the report stated.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has initiated immediate legal action against the mentioned companies in preparation for the implementation of designated penalties.
Furthermore, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring that pilgrims receive their full rights in accordance with the highest standards of quality and performance. It emphasized that there would be zero tolerance for any company that fails to meet its contractual obligations or endangers the safety of the pilgrims.
The Ministry has urged all Umrah companies and institutions to fully comply with approved regulations and guidelines and to ensure timely delivery of agreed-upon services. This is intended to enhance the pilgrims’ experience during their stay in the Kingdom and provide them with maximum satisfaction.
