Pakistan Likely to Receive China’s Advanced J-35AE Stealth Fighter Jet

Islamabad: Chinese media outlet South China Morning Post has reported that China’s first stealth fighter jet, the J-35AE, has reached a new production stage and may be prepared for export, with Pakistan emerging as a potential first customer.

According to the report, the newly developed variant of the J-35AE carries the logo of China’s Aviation Industry Corporation, the state-owned entity responsible for manufacturing and exporting military aircraft.

The report further suggests that the Chinese government has decided to allow export of the J-35AE, and Pakistan could be among the earliest buyers, as it already sources a significant portion of its defense equipment from China.

If Pakistan acquires the fifth-generation stealth aircraft, it is expected to significantly enhance its air combat capabilities through advanced radar-evading technology and modern weapon systems. The aircraft is also believed to have potential electronic warfare capabilities.

The possible induction of such aircraft into the Pakistan Air Force could further strengthen the country’s defense posture and deepen strategic defense cooperation between Pakistan and China.
