Imran Khan Instructs Ali Amin Gandapur to Resign as CM, KPK Spokesperson Responds
Chief Minister’s Spokesperson Denies Confirmation of Imran Khan's Message

Peshawar: A statement from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and chairman Imran Khan, directing Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Ali Amin Gandapur to resign, has been met with a strong response from the Chief Minister’s spokesperson.
The spokesperson clarified that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa represents the vision of Imran Khan, and emphasized that the message about resignation had not been confirmed through any reliable channels.
The spokesperson stated, *”Ali Amin Gandapur has repeatedly said that the KPK government is a trust from the founder of PTI. Despite being the Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur has not been allowed to meet his leader in Adiala Jail due to court orders, but constitutional and legal obligations are not being followed.”*
He further mentioned that Gandapur is taking steps to maintain peace and order in the province, including launching regional tribal councils to address terrorism at a local level.
The statement from Imran Khan, issued yesterday, suggested that if Ali Amin Gandapur cannot maintain peace in KPK, he should resign. Sources close to Imran Khan revealed that he expressed concerns over Gandapur’s inability to resolve governance issues in the province and recommended that someone else be given a chance.
