Decision to Resume Two More Flights from Karachi to Gwadar Announced
PIA's New Flights from Karachi to Gwadar to Begin in the First Week of August, says Federal Minister

Karachi: In a significant move to boost trade activities, the federal government has decided to resume two additional flights between Karachi and Gwadar, a decision made possible through the efforts of Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry.
According to Express News, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will launch the new flights from Karachi to Gwadar in the first week of August.
Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry emphasized that expanding air connectivity was essential for the promotion of trade activities. He pointed out that only one flight had been operating so far, and the addition of more flights marks an important step forward.
He further stated that the resumption of flights was a practical expression of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s business-friendly vision. Improved air access is crucial for the activation of Gwadar’s Free Zones, which play a central role in the region’s economic development.
Chaudhry also noted that enhanced air services would create more investment and trade opportunities, benefiting the business community, port staff, and logistics sector, all of which remain government priorities.
He stressed that robust air connectivity was critical for the timely completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. The increase in flights is seen as the start of a new chapter of economic growth in Gwadar.
