Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani Calls on CJP, Constitutional Bench Head to Sit with IHC Judges

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) and the head of the constitutional bench should come to the IHC and sit with the judges, which he believes would resolve all ongoing issues.
Justice Kayani remarked that judges felt as if they were standing in the dock like accused persons. Responding to a journalist’s question about whether judges were considering forming a union, he said it was not about unions but about principles.
When asked about threats made to judges by institutions, Justice Kayani said the matter was still pending before the council and the Chief Justice. To another query on whether the threats were also “pending,” he reiterated that the issue remains unresolved.
