Stepmother Confesses to Killing Minor Girl During ‘Black Magic Ritual’ in Lahore

Lahore: A woman has confessed to the قتل of a minor girl in Lahore’s Green Town, claiming the act was carried out during a so-called “black magic ritual,” according to police investigators.
Sources from the investigation police said the accused admitted during interrogation that she subjected the child, identified as Fatima, to severe torture. She alleged that “spirits” demanded violence against children during such rituals.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Nazia, stated that the abuse occurred while performing black magic practices. Investigators further revealed that the victim’s elder sister, eight-year-old Kashaf, was also subjected to violence and is currently undergoing medical examination.
Police said the accused had divorced her previous husband two years ago and later married a man named Ashfaq. She reportedly has seven children from her previous marriage who are living with their father. After separating from Ashfaq, his three children were staying with another wife and have now been shifted to an Edhi center following the incident.
Authorities added that the accused had struck Fatima on the head with an iron rod a few days prior to her death, causing a severe brain injury.
A murder case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s biological mother, and further investigation is underway.
