Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan’s Long March Stopped by Police in Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh:A long march organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, en route from Quetta to Islamabad, was halted by the police in Muzaffargarh, Punjab. The participants, who had departed early this morning from Loralai, were traveling through Dera Ghazi Khan on their way to Multan, but were stopped by the authorities before they could continue their journey.
According to reports, the police detained 11 activists, including two Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, who were part of the protest. The march was originally led by Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, the Provincial Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and a Member of the Provincial Assembly.
The march had started two days ago from Quetta, with the aim of raising various political and socio-economic issues in front of the federal government in Islamabad. Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan had planned this protest to draw attention to the province’s longstanding grievances.
The arrest of party leaders and workers has sparked tensions, with the party condemning the move and calling it an attempt to suppress peaceful democratic protests.
