Two Dead, 15 Injured in Multiple Accidents Across Balochistan

**Quetta:** At least two people were killed and 15 others, including women and children, injured in a series of traffic accidents and a coal mine incident across various districts of Balochistan.

On the Quetta-Karachi Bloody Highway near Tiaru Bela, a head-on collision between a pickup and a Mehran car left one person dead at the scene, while seven others — including 50-year-old Marjan, 35-year-old Siraj, 30-year-old Gul Jan, 25-year-old Shehnaz, Yusuf, Nadeem, and a young girl named Mehnaz — sustained injuries. The victims were initially treated locally and then shifted to Karachi for further medical care. The pickup driver fled the scene.

In Duki, about 8 km from the town, Afghan coal miner Abdul Rashid died due to asphyxiation after poisonous gas filled the local coal mine. His body was recovered and sent back to Afghanistan.

In Hub’s Bhawani area, a collision between a passenger coaster and a car injured six people, including a woman. The injured — Nizamuddin, Rashid, Imamuddin, Qaim, Rashid, and the woman — were transported to the hospital by Edhi ambulance.

Meanwhile, in Dera Murad Jamali’s Eastern Bachal Maghiri area, dense fog led to a motorcycle and tractor collision, seriously injuring Nizamuddin and a woman. In Turbat, a car and tractor collided near a private school on Airport Road, but no casualties were reported.

Authorities have urged motorists to drive cautiously, particularly in foggy conditions and on busy highways, to prevent further accidents.
