MQM-P Rejects Bilawal Bhutto’s Speech as Misleading and Contrary to Facts

Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has strongly criticized the recent speech of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, terming it “ridiculous” and “contrary to facts.”
In a statement, MQM-P said that Bilawal Bhutto’s speech resembled content created for social media rather than reflecting ground realities. The party maintained that the truth of governance in Sindh is not limited to 17 years but spans over five decades, and this reality should be presented honestly before the public.
MQM-P stated that the incompetence and corruption of the Sindh government cannot be concealed even with hundreds of presentations. The party remarked that sewage water may appear like lakes from a helicopter view, but the situation on the ground is entirely different. It alleged that the corrupt Sindh government has pushed Karachi into the list of the world’s worst cities.
The statement further highlighted that conditions of basic infrastructure, clean drinking water, education, and healthcare remain poor in both urban and rural areas of Sindh. MQM-P accused the PPP of practicing divisive and misleading politics that deprive people of their fundamental rights.
Questioning PPP’s claims of democracy, MQM-P said that proponents of ethnic and dynastic politics have no moral ground to lecture others on democratic values. The party urged the Sindh government to focus on genuine public welfare instead of making unsubstantiated development claims.
