Islamabad: Mexico is the world’s largest mango exporter, but Pakistan has also secured a spot in the top three with its delicious and flavorful mango varieties. The “king of fruits,” as mango is often referred to, is not only unmatched in taste and fragrance but is also gaining global importance.
Global mango production has now surpassed 55 million metric tons, but only a few countries dominate the export market. According to the latest report, Mexico remains the top exporter, shipping around 450,000 metric tons of mangoes annually, with key buyers including the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Europe.

While Mexico holds the top position, Pakistan’s role in the global mango market is steadily growing. The country now exports approximately 150,000 metric tons of mangoes annually, ranking third among the world’s top exporters.

Chaunsa – Famous for its sweet flavor, juiciness, and long shelf life

While Mexico continues to dominate the global mango export market due to its geographical proximity and superior mango varieties, Pakistan is emerging as a major player, particularly with its premium mangoes like Chaunsa and Sindhri.
