Imran Riaz Alleges Senate Ticket Was Sold for Rs. 120 Million; Conflicting Claims Emerge Over Legal Fee Payments

London:In a recent vlog, senior anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan made serious allegations, claiming that Mirza Afridi paid Rs. 120 million to Senator Shibli Faraz in exchange for a Senate ticket. According to Imran Riaz, the ticket was effectively being “sold” for this amount.
Shibli Faraz, in response, stated that the money was spent on legal cases and lawyers’ fees related to former Prime Minister Imran Khan. However, discrepancies have surfaced over who actually paid for these legal expenses.
Ali Amin Gandapur has asserted that he personally covered the legal fees, while Aleema Khan maintains that the family has been bearing all the expenses. Meanwhile, lawyers representing Imran Khan have claimed they are working pro bono and are not charging any fees.
Imran Riaz further alleged that Ali Amin Gandapur, Shibli Faraz, and Barrister Gohar supported awarding the Senate ticket to Mirza Afridi, raising questions about internal party decisions and transparency.
These conflicting statements have sparked significant debate and concern among political observers and party supporters, highlighting internal rifts and raising questions about financial accountability within the ranks of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
