COVID-19 Vaccine Not Linked to Heart Diseases, Says Cardiologist Dr. Nadeem Rizvi

Karachi – Renowned cardiologist Professor Dr. Nadeem Rizvi has dismissed claims linking the COVID-19 vaccine to heart-related diseases, calling such reports baseless and lacking scientific evidence.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Rizvi clarified that sudden deaths among young individuals are not always caused by blocked arteries. “About 25% of such cases can be attributed to genetic factors,” he explained. “Even sudden deaths among athletes are often due to other underlying medical conditions.”
Dr. Rizvi emphasized the importance of timely intervention in cases of cardiac arrest. “If a heart attack occurs outside of a hospital, only 7% of patients survive. However, if an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used within 3 to 5 minutes, survival rates can increase to 50–70%.”
He further stated that there is no scientific data indicating a rise in heart disease among young people, nor any proven connection between these incidents and the COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. Rizvi’s comments come amid ongoing misinformation on social media suggesting adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccines on heart health. He urged the public to rely on verified medical facts and not fall prey to rumors.
