Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Warns of Global Peace Threat Due to Iran-Israel Tensions, Calls for Meaningful Dialogue Between Pakistan and India

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has expressed serious concerns about the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, labeling them as a significant threat to global peace. In his recent press conference, Bilawal highlighted the urgent need for de-escalation in both the Middle East and South Asia.
Referring to the growing instability in South Asia, Bilawal stated, “If meaningful negotiations between Pakistan and India are not initiated, regional tensions could spiral further out of control.” He emphasized that while past opportunities for dialogue have been ignored or avoided by India, sustained peace can only be achieved through open and sincere discussions between the two nations.
Bilawal also warned against India’s provocative threats to block Pakistan’s water supply, describing it as a dangerous move that could escalate the situation to the point of triggering a potential global conflict. “Pakistan has always supported comprehensive and meaningful dialogue, but India’s continuous refusal is the root cause of the current tensions,” he added.
Regarding the recent Pulwama attack, Bilawal reiterated Pakistan’s offer for an impartial international investigation, stressing that transparency in such matters would help rebuild trust between the two countries.
On a global scale, Bilawal expressed deep concern over the Israel-Iran conflict, saying, “This ongoing conflict is not only a threat to the Middle East but also to global peace.” He urged the international community to take immediate and proactive measures to prevent the situation from worsening, emphasizing that the world cannot afford another major conflict.
