Air India Plane Crashes Near Ahmedabad Airport, Video Surfaces

Ahmedabad: A shocking video has emerged showing the moment an Air India aircraft crashed into a residential area near Ahmedabad Airport shortly after takeoff.
According to media reports, the Air India flight was carrying 242 people on board, including two pilots and ten cabin crew members. The aircraft, a Boeing Dreamliner 787, was en route from Ahmedabad to London when it went down near the Meghani area, close to the airport.
Officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed that Captain Samit Subhrawal was in command of the flight, with First Officer Clive Kinder serving as co-pilot.

Rescue operations are underway, with three teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), consisting of 90 personnel, dispatched from Gandhinagar. An additional three teams are being sent from Vadodara to strengthen relief efforts.
The plane had taken off fully fueled for the long-haul flight. Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick plumes of smoke rising from the crash site as emergency services, including fire brigades and police, rushed to the scene. Roads leading to the area were immediately sealed off for safety and security.

Air India has confirmed the incident and stated that further details are being collected. At this stage, there are no confirmed reports of fatalities, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have pledged to explore all possible factors contributing to the accident and will release more information as it becomes available.
