Bilawal Bhutto Urges President Trump to Facilitate Dialogue Between Pakistan and India

Islamabad – Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and head of the Pakistani parliamentary delegation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has urged U.S. President Donald Trump to play an active role in bringing India to the negotiating table for comprehensive talks with Pakistan.
In an interview with international news agency AFP, Bilawal stated that while Pakistan is ready to engage in dialogue on terrorism, the core issue must remain the long-standing Kashmir dispute. He cautioned that India is setting a dangerous precedent by using terrorism as a justification for military action, which could destabilize the entire South Asian region.
He stressed that the fate of 1.7 billion people in the region should not be left in the hands of faceless non-state actors or subject to India’s so-called “new normal.”
According to AFP analysis, President Trump has repeatedly expressed his desire to avoid a nuclear conflict and has offered to facilitate dialogue between Pakistan and India at a neutral venue.
In a separate interview with Chinese media in New York, Bilawal accused India of deliberately undermining regional peace through illegal and unilateral aggression on Pakistani soil.
