Punjab Announces Business Relief, Exempts Sports Facilities, IT Companies from Smart Lockdown Timing Restrictions

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Punjab government has announced partial relaxation in the ongoing smart lockdown measures, providing relief to key sectors including sports, IT companies, and call centers.
According to official details, the provincial government has exempted sports-related activities from the 8:00 pm closure restriction. A formal notification in this regard has been issued by the Chief Secretary of Punjab.
The notification states that gyms and sports activities will also remain exempt from the evening closure limit. In addition, IT companies and call centers have been granted exemption from the 8:00 pm restriction, allowing them to continue operations beyond the previously imposed timing.
Officials said the decision aims to support business activity and ensure continuity in essential service sectors while maintaining regulatory oversight.
