Pakistan’s Cyber Forces Launch Major Offensive in Operation Bunyān Marsūs, Crippling Indian Infrastructure
In a significant cyber warfare escalation, Pakistan’s military cyber team executed a large-scale digital offensive under “Operation Bunyān Marsūs,” delivering a strong and strategic response to Indian aggression. According to credible sources, the operation targeted multiple critical Indian sectors, inflicting serious damage.
The cyber team reportedly penetrated India’s power infrastructure, petroleum sector, communication systems, and military networks. Key power dispatch centers including National, Eastern, Northern, and Western Load Dispatch Centers were breached, temporarily depriving nearly 80% of users of electricity. Specific disruptions were recorded in Uttar Pradesh (3,600+ feeders), Jammu & Kashmir (600+ feeders), Maharashtra (4,600+ feeders), and Karnataka, where 235+ wind and solar grids were compromised.
India’s email and OTP authentication infrastructure were rendered inoperative, paralyzing official communication. The cyber team also hacked and disabled over 4,400 routers in the public and government sector.
In a high-impact move, servers at Indian airports including Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata were taken down, and the Indian Air Force’s Northern, Southern, and Western Air Commands experienced major communication breakdowns.
Additionally, surveillance infrastructure was targeted, with more than 3,500 CCTV cameras in government buildings, hospitals, highways, and public zones hacked. In occupied Jammu & Kashmir, over 250 major ISP communication routers were disabled.
DDoS attacks were launched against critical Indian government, military, stock exchange, and public sector servers, causing widespread disruption in internal communications and workflow.
Strategic Indian organizations reportedly affected include the Indian Air Force, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Border Security Force, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), and Indian Railways.
The operation marks one of the most comprehensive cyber offensives in the region, highlighting Pakistan’s growing cyber warfare capabilities and the shifting dynamics of modern conflict.
