Funeral Prayers Offered for Pakistan Army Personnel Martyred in MI-17 Helicopter Crash

ISLAMABAD: Funeral prayers have been offered for the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army who were martyred in the crash of an MI-17 helicopter belonging to Pakistan Army Aviation during a flight operation near Muzaffarabad.
A large number of people, including the Acting President and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Rawalpindi Corps Commander, senior civil and military officials, and local residents attended the funeral prayers.
On the occasion, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor and paid tribute to the fallen personnel for their sacrifice and service to the nation.
Participants offered special prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and expressed their condolences and solidarity with the bereaved families.
Following the funeral ceremony, the bodies of the martyrs were dispatched to their native towns and villages, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors.
The Pakistan Army has not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the helicopter crash. Authorities are expected to conduct an investigation into the incident.
