Indian Government Blocks “Daily Qudrat” YouTube Channel in India

Quetta: The Indian government has taken a bold step against Pakistani media freedom by blocking the YouTube channel of the renowned news network, Daily Qudrat, within its territory. According to sources, YouTube administration informed Daily Qudrat via email, stating that the Indian government had cited national security and public order concerns as the reasons for the channel’s blockage.
As a result, Indian YouTube users now receive the message, “This content is not available in your country” when attempting to access the Daily Qudrat channel. To date, the Indian government has not provided any official stance or clarification regarding the blockage.
Daily Qudrat is one of Pakistan’s largest YouTube news platforms, widely known for its bold reporting on sensitive issues related to Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and other national matters. Recently, the channel had broadcast live coverage of Pakistan-India tensions, the situation at the Wagah Border, statements by the Army Chief, and press conferences from Pakistan’s government and military spokespersons—likely contributing to the Indian government’s decision to block the channel.
In response, Daily Qudrat administration stated: “We are not afraid of the restrictions in India. The voice of truth does not need borders. Our message will reach the people of Kashmir and the oppressed people of India.”
Media experts have expressed concerns that this move is an attack on freedom of expression in India, suggesting that the Indian government is not only fearful of domestic media but also of fact-based reporting from across the border.
Note: Daily Qudrat continues to operate in Pakistan and remains available on other platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and its official website.
