CM Murad Ali Shah Chairs Sindh Safe Cities Authority Meeting, Orders Activation of Karachi Safe City Project

Karachi:Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired an important meeting of the Sindh Safe Cities Authority, which was attended by Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, and other senior officials.
During the meeting, Director General Safe Cities Authority Sarfaraz Nawaz briefed the chief minister on the progress of the Karachi Safe City Project. CM Murad Ali Shah said that the Karachi Safe City Project is of vital importance for the city and emphasized that no compromise would be made on Karachi’s security.
He stated that following the introduction of the e-challan system, the first phase of the Karachi Safe City Project is now ready to be launched. The chief minister announced that the project would be made fully operational within the next two months.
To ensure timely implementation, CM Sindh directed the immediate recruitment of the required staff for the Safe City Project. Approval was also granted for the hiring of 34 technical and administrative experts for the project.
The recruitment process will be carried out by a selection committee already notified by the Services and General Administration Department. Additionally, the chief minister approved a revised budget of Rs200 million for the Karachi Safe City Project.
