Pashtunkhwa MAP Voices Strong Protest Over Lawlessness, Resource Exploitation, and Government Negligence in Loralai

Loralai: Leaders of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) have strongly condemned the worsening law and order situation, rampant exploitation of local resources, and ongoing governmental neglect in the Loralai district. Speaking at separate sessions of the district executive and district committee, senior PMAP leaders reiterated that the land and its resources rightfully belong to the local people and vowed to resist any form of exploitation.
Central Secretary Abdul Jabbar Khan Utmankhel, Provincial President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan, Provincial General Secretary Kabir Afghan, and other provincial and district leaders, including Haji Dara Khan Jogizai, Habib Ur Rehman Bazai, Dost Muhammad Luni, and Safdar Khan Mekhterwal, addressed the sessions and emphasized the need for organizational strengthening across all units of the party.
They criticized the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), labeling it unconstitutional and illegal. The leaders warned that while the Pashtun nation was already divided into various units, new divisions were being engineered under the guise of tribalism. They accused the administration and police of giving free rein to criminal elements, allowing thefts, robberies, and lawlessness to prevail unchecked in Loralai.
The PMAP leadership expressed serious concern over the state of education and healthcare in the region. Despite the academic year having commenced three months ago, several schools remain closed or inactive, depriving thousands of children of their right to education. Similarly, hospitals and basic health units suffer from closures, understaffing, and absentee medical personnel, denying the public basic healthcare services.
They called for urgent maintenance and reconstruction of local dams, including Sher Jan Kaddi, Burnsi, Khari Kangi, Tor Khizai, and Sachan Mekhtar dams, highlighting the Irrigation Department’s failure to fulfill its duties. The need for new dams was also stressed to address water scarcity and improve agriculture.
On the issue of resource exploitation, the PMAP leaders stated that the district’s mineral and natural resources belong to the indigenous people and rejected ongoing illegal allotments and encroachments. They vowed to protect these assets with public support.
They held the establishment responsible for the country’s multiple crises, accusing it of dominating national affairs for the past 75 years and acting beyond its constitutional mandate. They stated that the ongoing economic, political, and social collapse is the result of such interventions, yet no remorse or corrective action has been taken.
Reaffirming their commitment to democratic principles, the speakers endorsed PMAP Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s vision for a new national consensus. They called for a national conference of all stakeholders to address constitutional supremacy, parliamentary sovereignty, ethnic equality, and civilian rule, in order to rebuild a democratic and federated Pakistan.
