Robert Vadra Blames Pahalgam Incident on Modi Government’s Hindutva Agenda

New Delhi:Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress Party chief Sonia Gandhi and husband of Priyanka Gandhi, has strongly criticized the ruling BJP government, holding it responsible for the environment that led to the recent Pahalgam incident.

In a bold statement, Vadra said the Pahalgam attack is a “reaction to the aggressive Hindutva ideology” promoted under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He accused the government of fostering a climate of fear and division in India, particularly targeting minority communities.

“Under the current regime, there is relentless propaganda in favor of Hindutva, minorities are threatened and harassed,” Vadra said. “Places of worship for Muslims and Christians face restrictions, and there are deliberate attempts to convert mosques into temples. Churches are being set on fire, and minorities increasingly feel unsafe in their own country.”

He further added that the incident in Pahalgam might be a manifestation of the growing frustration and insecurity among marginalized communities under Modi’s India.

Vadra’s comments have stirred political debate, with opposition leaders echoing concerns over rising intolerance and communal polarization, while BJP leaders have dismissed the remarks as “politically motivated.” The remarks come at a critical time, as tensions between India and Pakistan are already high following India’s diplomatic crackdown and security claims post-Pahalgam attack.
