Malaysia Refuses to Pay Iran Toll for Passage Through Strait of Hormuz

Islamabad (April 1, 2026): The Malaysian government has confirmed that its ships are not paying any tolls to Iran for transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a government spokesperson, several Malaysian vessels are currently queued to pass through the strategic waterway. The spokesperson added that Malaysian ships are being allowed to transit without making any payments, ensuring smooth passage despite regional tensions.
