Abdul Malik Baloch: Baloch Nation Will Not Participate in Future Elections if Held Again

Former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Abdul Malik Baloch, stated that the Baloch nation will not participate in any future elections if they are held again. He emphasized that the issues of Balochistan cannot be resolved through violence, and that meaningful dialogue is the only way forward.
Speaking on the program “Insight with Aamir Zia,” Abdul Malik Baloch discussed the current political situation in Balochistan and shared his views on the ongoing issues. He mentioned that in a recent meeting, discussions were held on the problems faced by the province, and he provided his suggestions.
He further criticized the idea that the solution to Balochistan’s problems could be found through elections, saying that even if elections are held again, it will be of no benefit. He stressed that the Baloch people are not interested in participating in such elections. “Issues cannot be solved by bullets,” he asserted.
On the recent incidents of violence, Abdul Malik Baloch condemned the killing of innocent people, emphasizing that such acts should be condemned, and expressing his belief that the only way to resolve the problems is through dialogue. However, he expressed doubt that negotiations would take place in the current environment.
When questioned about Mohsin Naqvi’s statement regarding the conflict in the region, Abdul Malik Baloch responded by highlighting the lack of a coherent narrative from the government. “Miliatry groups may have a narrative, but the government lacks a clear stance,” he said. “The claim that the death of an SHO (Station House Officer) is the result of the situation here does not make sense. The reality is that there is a serious conflict, and those who do not understand the geography of the region cannot fully grasp the scale of the issues.”
Abdul Malik Baloch’s remarks further underline the growing frustration within Balochistan over the lack of political representation and the ongoing violence in the region.
