Aleema Khan Calls for Immediate Protest Movement, Urges Public to Join PTI Campaign

Swat: Aleema Khan has called for the immediate launch of a public protest movement, urging supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to come out of their homes and intensify efforts for what she described as the restoration of the people’s mandate.

Addressing a public gathering at Kabal Chowk in Swat, Aleema Khan urged the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take a leading role in the movement while encouraging supporters in Punjab to join them. She alleged that more than 100 PTI seats were stolen in the general elections and said it was time for the public to resist what she described as political injustice.

Referring to PTI founder Imran Khan, she said that despite being imprisoned, he had refused to surrender and expressed confidence that his supporters would also remain steadfast. Recalling a conversation she attributed to Imran Khan, Aleema said he had spoken of “freedom or death,” while she described her own resolve as “freedom or martyrdom.”

She also said Pakistan should learn from Iran’s leadership, claiming that its leaders had made sacrifices for their country and led from the front. Calling for an immediate nationwide movement, she argued that public pressure was necessary to secure better medical care for Imran Khan and end his reported solitary confinement.

The remarks reflect Aleema Khan’s political views and allegations. The claims regarding election rigging, Imran Khan’s prison conditions, and other matters have been disputed by the relevant authorities, and no official response to her latest speech was immediately available.
