Governor Balochistan Assures Security and Support for Jewelers, Calls for Development of Bullion Market

Quetta:Governor of Balochistan, Jaafar Khan Mandokhail, emphasized the crucial role played by jewelers and gem traders in the provincial capital, Quetta, and expressed his commitment to fully utilizing the available opportunities for growth in this sector. He acknowledged the issues faced by jewelers and the jewelry market, stating that the government prioritizes the safety and security of the business community, including the members of the Jewelers Association.
During a meeting with a delegation of the Jewelers Association of Balochistan, led by President Muhammad Hussain Saraf and Chairman Adil Dawood Rajput, Governor Mandokhail reassured them that the government would take solid measures to ensure the protection of traders. He also promised strict legal action against those involved in the kidnapping and killing of traders.
The meeting, which took place on Wednesday at the Governor House in Quetta, also discussed issues related to the establishment of a bullion market and the recovery of the missing jeweler, Musawar Kakr. Governor Mandokhail emphasized the significant cultural and artistic role of jewelers, stating, “As jewelers, you are not only creators of beauty but also custodians of our rich culture.”
He further highlighted the need for various training programs to upgrade the skills of jewelers, helping them adapt to the changing trends in the jewelry and gold trade. He also stressed the importance of promoting a trade-friendly environment that fosters growth, innovation, and success for all stakeholders involved in Quetta’s jewelry and gold markets.
The Governor reiterated that the government’s goal is to create a supportive and thriving business environment for the jewelry and gold industry, ensuring its continued development and prosperity.
