In a press conference held in Karachi, Tessori emphasized the special arrangements being made at the Governor House for the holy month. This is the third consecutive year that such an arrangement is being organized at the Governor House. He highlighted the unique stage setup at the venue, claiming that no similar setup exists elsewhere in Pakistan.
“More than 1 million people will be served iftar dinners during Ramadan, and in addition, one plot of land will be given away daily through a raffle,” said Tessori. He also revealed that there will be a special *Khatm-e-Quran* (completion of the Quran) ceremony held at the Governor House.
Furthermore, the Governor announced that families who have lost loved ones in accidents involving dumpers will be given one plot of land each. The builder will personally hand over the file to the bereaved families on the same day. Individuals can register for this initiative under the “Ittehad Ramadan” campaign. A Ramadan transmission will also be launched at the Governor House in Karachi.
Addressing the recent **Mustafa Amir murder case**, Tessori assured that security agencies are thoroughly investigating the matter, and he vowed to ensure the case reaches its logical conclusion.
**On the issue of drugs**, the Governor mentioned the increasing import of 32 different types of narcotics into Pakistan from abroad. He stated that letters would be sent to educational institutions urging them to conduct random drug tests for students and teachers. Additionally, the Governor revealed that a special anti-drug cell would be established at the Governor House to tackle this issue more effectively.
Tessori further added that, if given the authority, he would take immediate action to curb heavy traffic, which he stated was a major cause of accidents in the city.
