The operation, which followed the Pulwama incident and India’s miscalculation of crossing the Line of Control, saw the Pakistan Air Force down an Indian aircraft and capture Wing Commander Abhinandan on February 27, 2019.
The song, penned by Ahmed Azeem, and sung and composed by Kamran Allah Khan, reflects a powerful commitment to defending the nation. According to ISPR, the lyrics convey the determination of the country’s valiant soldiers and their unwavering promise to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty.
ISPR’s statement emphasized that February 27, 2019, was a historic day, showcasing the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and the resolute spirit of the Pakistani people. The operation marked the successful interception of two Indian fighter jets that violated Pakistan’s airspace, and the capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan, who was later released as a gesture of peace.
The ISPR added that February 27 serves as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s commitment to retaliating with full force against any aggression that threatens its sovereignty.
