Pakistan Government to Refund 40,000 Rupees to Pilgrims of 2024 Hajj

The government of Pakistan has announced that it will refund 40,000 rupees to pilgrims who performed Hajj last year. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik, confirmed the refund during a conversation with Sama TV, stating that the money will be refunded based on different categories of pilgrims.
He further mentioned that this year, pilgrims will receive even better facilities, with each pilgrim receiving up to 40,000 rupees. “This year, we will provide additional services for pilgrims in Mina at no extra cost,” he said.
The Federal Minister also revealed several improvements for the upcoming Hajj. Pilgrims will be provided with three meals a day. Last year, air coolers were installed in the Mina tents, but this year, air-conditioned tents will be provided. Additionally, while pilgrims stayed in cloth tents last year, they will now be offered gypsum-made tents for better comfort.
The most significant benefit this year will be the “Road to Makkah” initiative, which will allow pilgrims to complete their immigration process in Pakistan. Their belongings will be transferred directly to hotels in Saudi Arabia, making the Hajj journey more seamless and convenient.
