Punjab announces new school timings, Friday holiday abolished

LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has issued a notification regarding revised school timings across the province.

According to the notification, the Friday holiday has been abolished, while the weekly Saturday holiday will remain in place. Schools will remain closed on Saturdays throughout all four weeks of the month.

Under the new schedule, schools will operate from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, while Friday timings will be 8:00 am to 12:45 pm.

For schools running evening shifts, classes will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, students and staff will report at 2:00 pm, with the school day ending at 5:30 pm.

The revised timings have been issued by the Punjab School Education Department as part of the new school schedule.
