Two Trucks Set Ablaze in Dalbandin, Bridge Destroyed on Karachi-Kharan Highway

CHAGAI: Two empty Mazda trucks were set on fire after armed men opened fire on them along the N-40 highway in Dalbandin, police said.

According to police, the incident took place near Bartagzi Landhi in the Jojoqi area. The two trucks were travelling from Dalbandin towards Taftan when armed men allegedly opened fire on them and later set both vehicles ablaze.

No casualties were reported in the firing and arson incident.

In a separate incident in Kharan, armed men allegedly used heavy machinery to destroy a major portion of a bridge on the Karachi-Kharan Highway, bringing traffic on the important route to a halt.

According to sources, the incident occurred in the Sootakgan area near Kharan, where armed men used heavy machinery to uproot and destroy a large section of the bridge.

Following the destruction of the bridge, all vehicular traffic on the highway was suspended, causing disruption to transportation between Kharan and Karachi.
