Acting Chairman of Senate Syed Al Khan Visits Quetta Press Club, Pledges Support for Journalists’ Rights

Islamabad, Quetta: Acting Chairman of the Senate, Syed Al Khan, visited the Quetta Press Club yesterday, where he was warmly welcomed by the Press Club President Irfan Saeed, senior journalists, and members. During his visit, Syed Al Khan highlighted the crucial role of journalists in strengthening democracy and resolving public issues.
He emphasized that the government is actively working on effective legislation and welfare programs to safeguard journalists’ rights and improve their well-being. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the protection of journalists and supporting their welfare.
Syed Al Khan also condemned India’s false propaganda, asserting that Pakistan is a sovereign state and would not allow any threat to its national integrity and independence. He stressed that the government will respond firmly to any irresponsible actions by India.
Addressing the issue of Indian interference in Balochistan, Syed Al Khan termed it a serious matter and assured that the state is utilizing all resources to maintain peace. He also praised the positive roles of China and Saudi Arabia in regional stability.
At the end of his visit, Syed Al Khan congratulated the newly elected officials of the Press Club, presented them with flowers and sweets, and announced a donation. The journalistic community expressed their gratitude for his support.
