Quetta Police Arrest 5 Suspects, 26 Afghan Nationals and 19 Drug Addicts in Crackdown

QUETTA: Quetta Police have arrested five suspects, including two alleged motorcycle thieves, along with 26 Afghan nationals reportedly residing illegally in Pakistan and 19 drug addicts during a series of operations across the city.

According to police, action was taken against proclaimed and wanted offenders, violators of the Tenancy Act, snatchers, illegal weapon holders and foreign nationals allegedly residing without valid documentation.

On the special directions of SSP Operations Quetta Zia-ul-Haq Mandokhail, Kachai Baig Police, led by SHO Mujahid Malghani, arrested two alleged motorcycle thieves identified as Samiullah and Mohiuddin. Police said a stolen motorcycle, a pistol and ammunition were recovered from their possession.

Police also arrested a suspect identified as Sinan for allegedly possessing an illegal weapon. Eighteen Afghan nationals allegedly residing illegally and 19 drug addicts were also taken into custody during the operation.

Hazara Town Police arrested a nominated suspect, Ghaus Bakhsh, along with four Afghan nationals allegedly residing illegally. Police also took action against vehicles fitted with tinted windows.

Meanwhile, SHO Shalkot Adil Shah conducted an operation and arrested Naseebullah for allegedly violating the Tenancy Act, along with four Afghan nationals reportedly residing illegally.

Police also took action against 25 motorcycles for being operated without registration number plates and removed tinted windows from dozens of vehicles.

Further police action is underway, officials said.
