PM Shehbaz Welcomes Trump’s Support for Mecca Mutual Defense Pact

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s supportive remarks regarding the Mecca Mutual Defense Pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
In a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz said he appreciated President Trump’s words in support of the agreement.
He said Pakistan would continue working with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to play its role in ensuring the defense and security of the three countries as well as the wider region.
The prime minister also paid tribute to President Trump for his role in helping avert a potential nuclear catastrophe in South Asia and saving millions of lives.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed that lasting peace is an essential and fundamental requirement for ensuring a bright and prosperous future for people.
He said Pakistan remained committed to promoting peace, stability and security in the region.
