Pakistan Cabinet to Review Saudi Arabia-Turkey Defense Pact Today

**ISLAMABAD:** A key meeting of the federal cabinet has been summoned for 3 p.m. today, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif set to chair the session.

During the meeting, the prime minister is expected to brief the cabinet on the defense agreement involving Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye.

The cabinet will also review the country’s economic and security situation and discuss other matters of national importance.

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye recently signed a trilateral defense agreement under which an attack on any one of the three countries would be considered an attack on all three.
