ISLAMABAD: Journalist Zaeem Laghari has claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has sent an important message from jail regarding his health, urging that the issue not be turned into a political matter and calling for immediate access to a doctor.
In a post on social media platform X, Zaeem Laghari said sources told him that Imran Khan had instructed an important PTI figure and two members of his family to convey his message.
According to the journalist, Imran Khan said that politics should not be played over his health and that immediate steps should be taken to ensure he receives a medical examination and proper treatment.
Laghari quoted the message as saying that instead of turning his health into a political controversy, priority should be given to providing him with medical facilities and access to a doctor.
“If the government needs any kind of guarantee to give me access to a doctor, provide it, but for God’s sake, considering my health, immediate steps should be taken to ensure that I can see a doctor. I am not feeling well,” the message reportedly stated.
